Where to Catch Outdoor Concerts
It’s hard to believe we are already in the middle of the magical summer season! With fall right around the corner, we want to make the most of these warm days and cool nights. The Halton Pardee team collaborated on a guide to our favorite free summer concerts. Twilight Concerts – Santa Monica Pier
Each year, this free summer concert series wows with local, up-and-coming talent that concertgoers are already bragging they saw “back when.” Each Thursday from July through September, Santa Monica Pier hosts live music that’s 100% free. Pack a picnic, arrive early to get a spot on the sand near the speakers and enjoy, as the sunset sets with crashing waves in the distance—it’s a quintessential L.A. music experience and one of the best parts about summers in L.A.

Concert in the Park – Playa Vista
The Concerts in the Park are a huge community favorite! Walk, bike or take the free Playa Vista Daily Shuttle to come out and enjoy an evening of live music and fun. Concerts in the park feature gourmet food trucks at every event!

Jazz at the LACMA – Los Angeles County Museum of Art
Jazz at LACMA features the art of jazz as practiced by leading Southern California artists. Celebrating over twenty years at LACMA, the program continues to be one of the museum’s most recognizable offerings. Jazz at LACMA is a celebration of L.A.’s finest jazz musicians.

Off the 405 – Getty Museum
OFF THE 405 is the Getty Center’s annual outdoor summer concert series, bringing some of today’s most exciting bands to the stage for a memorable experience amid stunning architecture and breathtaking sunset views.

Summer Concert Series – The Grove
CITI presents THE GROVE SUMMER CONCERT SERIES. Enjoy an eclectic lineup of some of the industry´s hottest acts, every Wednesday evening in July.

Boulevard Music Summer Festival – Culver City
Summer breezes…an intimate courtyard…free parking…and great music. Enjoy an evening in Culver City for the 2017 Culver City’s Boulevard Music Summer Festival. Boulevard Music presents six free concerts on Thursday evenings at 7 pm from July 6 through August 10 in the palm-lined courtyard of Culver City’s City Hall. Become an entry-level sponsor by purchasing one of the 100 premium reserved seats for sale at $10 each per show available at Boulevard Music!

Symphonic Thursdays + Pop Saturdays – Marina Del Rey
An all-time favorite is the Marina del Rey Free Summer Concert Series. Yep – free! Grab your family, a picnic dinner, and a blanket or low-profile beach chairs and make your way to Burton Chace Park for this popular event series. The 10-acre park is surrounded on three sides by the water, so come early for picture taking and to stroll the perimeter-walking path. On alternating Thursdays, enjoy classical and opera performances. On alternating Saturdays, expect a mix of pop music groups, including alt-rock, indie, and folk.
